Our Press On Nails last up to 3 weeks on the nails. Wear time can vary depending on how quickly your nails grow and how you use your hands day to day.
To guarantee the best hold, we recommend pushing back the cuticles and cleaning your natural nails with the included cleansing pad before attaching the Press On Nails.
How can I improve the longevity of the Press Ons?
• Before application: Your nails must always be completely free of oil and moisture before applying (including at the edges). Reason: the adhesive doesn't stick well to oily or damp surfaces. Pro tip: let your nail dry for another 2-3 minutes after degreasing before applying the Press Ons.
• After application: avoid contact with water or lotion for the first 1-2 hours. Reason: the adhesive needs some time to fully set. Pro tip: do your nails in the evening while watching your favorite show, so they can cure perfectly overnight.
• In summer: don't apply chemical sunscreen directly onto the Press Ons. Reason: the surface can become matte and sticky, since chemical sunscreen can act similarly to nail polish remover. Pro tip: use mineral sunscreen, or wash your nails right afterward.
How do I remove the Press On Nails?
For removal, we recommend our Care Pen.
• Apply oil: Apply the oil from the Miss Sophie Care Pen to the edge of the Press On Nails. Before first use, up to 20 clicks may be needed until a drop appears at the tip.
• Lift the edge: Lift the edge of the Press On Nail with a wooden stick to work the oil underneath the wrap.
• If using liquid glue: Also soak your hands for 10-15 minutes in a bowl of warm soapy water (a bit of oil helps too) to loosen the glue.
• Process: Then work your way from one side to the other with the wooden stick, repeatedly adding a bit more oil from the Care Pen under the Press On Nails.
• Important: Never try to forcibly tear off the nails, as this can damage the natural nail - if they don't come off yet, soak them for a few more minutes instead. Any remaining adhesive residue can then be gently removed with a buffer.
How many applications does one set of Press On Nails last for?
A Press On Nails set includes 32 Press On Nails in 16 different sizes. If a size is too big, you can file it down. If you use our adhesive tabs, the Press On Nails are reusable, and you can decide for yourself how often you want to wear them. To do so, just remove any leftover adhesive tab residue from the back of the Press On Nail.
Which of the two adhesive options (Glue Stickers or Nail Glue) is right for me?
That's entirely up to your preference!
• Glue Stickers: Quick to apply, leave hardly any residue when removed, and make the Press On Nails reusable.
• Nail Glue: Provides an especially strong, long-lasting hold, but is a bit more work to remove (best done with warm soapy water and our Care Pen).
If you're unsure, we recommend starting with the Glue Stickers.
Do the Press On Nails have a strong curve? I have rather flat nails.
Our Press On Nails have a natural, slight curve, but are flexible enough to adapt well to flatter nail shapes too. The "Extra Short Square" variant has the least curve of all the shapes, but is also the shortest.
